What We Do
We are a group of local residents who got together at the beginning of 2022. We have periodic meetings to discuss any aspect of the Park’s maintenance, upkeep and facilities that would enhance the users benefits of the space available.
What We’ve Achieved
Created a “Friends of Newbridge Park” group.
Refurbished 5 of the 6 existing benches in the Park and the children’s play area
Provided a picnic table in the play area for all to use.
Created a working relationship with the Parks Department of Bath and North East Somerset Council.
Created a working relationship with YourParks Bristol and Bath.
Sought opportunities to enhance and improve the existing facilities - more benches and picnic table.
Planted 2000 bulbs donated by Total Bathrooms - project managed by YourParks Bristol and Bath.
Maintain a Facebook page and created a dedicated website.
Building a dedicated membership.
Got new signs placed at the entrances.
Weeded and tidied up the area surrounding the ”Lone Tree” by the petrol station fence
Weeded and tidied up the area just to the right of the main Brassmill Lane entrance
Renovated the swing structure in the children’s play area
